Today I drove over to my friend Tiffany’s (aka @foodfinery) house. On my drive over, my mind was mulling over the many things I needed to accomplish.
My drive home was different. All I could think about was how grateful I am. Grateful for my family. Grateful for my friends. Grateful for good people. And grateful to have everything I need.
Why the change?
Tiffany and I were organizing all of the many items we had received on behalf of The Surplus Project, a semi-annual drive for women and children in crisis. As I dropped off the collected goods, my only thoughts were that I wished I had more to give.
How lucky am I. Sometimes we
forget how truly fortunate we are, especially amidst the noise of the world.
I am grateful. Grateful for Sir Zog and the type of husband and father that he is. Grateful for Baby Zog and his sweet, funny babbling and stair-climbing ways. And grateful for all of you. You make my life amazing.
Thank you.

It’s funny how gratitude really changes the lens with which we view our lives. I’m grateful for you and your sweet family!
