This morning while I was showering (one of the few private moments a mommy gets), I had a small epiphany.
Babies are the actual working version of “serenity now!”
Last summer this was our back yard:
Now, look at how pretty it is:
Because our neighbors decided to do this:
Without any notice. We woke up one morning to the noise of chainsaws and men on our roof. You can imagine how happy we were about it. And imagine, how classy we think our neighbors are. Thanks neighbors, for killing our grass and taking away our baby’s shade to play in. You rock.
As was, it was difficult to talk Sir Zog down from having “words” with the neighbors or flipping them off given the chance. However, I think it was much easier to distract him because we have this:
And how can you spend time on anger, when you have something as blissful as a sweet, healthy baby boy. Honestly, how more perfect could life possibly be?
